Bringing some north of the river style to the unlikely setting of Chapel Street is Red Bennies. The real drawcard, however, are the live performances. The booths and seating are all positioned for prime views of the stage, or you can perch upstairs on the mezzanine level. Melbourne’s gem of performing arts, Red Bennies, creates a cocktail of entertainment every night. Famous for international artists on tour from Circus, Burlesque, Revue, Live Music, Comedy, Cabaret and Vaudeville. It features artists from Dita Von Teese, James Morrison, Cirque Du Soleil, Paul Capsis, Public Enemy and Macy Gray, to the cream of up and coming fringe arts from Midsumma Festival, Comedy Festival, Fringe and Cabaret Festival. There’s some kind of show on every night, ranging from music –with a focus on funk, soul and jazz – to burlesque, circus, cabaret and other performing arts.
