When you think of Ireland your mind might evoke thoughts of Guinness beer more then it would of a country for nudism. However, this green island has become of late a hotspot for naturists. Ireland benefits from the warm Gulf Stream, which makes bathing possible over large parts of the summer.
These are the top 5 nude beaches in Ireland:
1. Corballis, Donabate In Dublin
To get to this beautiful secluded beach in the coastal town in Fingal, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) north-northeast of Dublin. Once there park and you need to walk 20 minutes from the car park and then skinny dip to heart’s desire.
2. Roundstone in Galway
Roundstone is surrounded by breathtaking natural surroundings, with rivers, beaches and mountains. Which make for a nice walk as you making your way to the nudist beach. You have to go all the way along the beach up a hill until you come to a gate. Continue on, and suddenly you’re on top of a dune and the most wonderful sandy beach is in front of you.
3. Silver Strand Beach in Galway
Silver Strand beach, a very popular nudist beach, is 6 kilometers from Galway. The walk down to the the beach is stony but once you get there, you find it all worth it. If you are not a strong swimmer, this sandy beach has a shallow side where you can splash and enjoy the water.
4. West Cork in Cork
Cork is located in the South of Ireland. Between rocks and small sandy beaches is a wonderful paradise for nudists
5. Hawk Cliff in Dalkey
Hawk Cliff is a small beach just outside the village of Dalkey. In Dalkey turn onto Sorrento Road and then turn right onto Vico Road. You will find this small notorious nudist beach is well signposted.
