All beaches in Denmark are clothing-optional unless marked otherwise, therefore finding a nude beach in Denmark is not hard. No wonder Denmark is known as ‘the most shameless nation in the world’.
Nudism in Denmark is perfectly acceptable – should it be prohibited as an exception, a sign will tell.
The nice thing is that Denmark also offers several clothes-free beaches which are officially dedicated to nudists. They are located south of Marielyst at Bøtø Strand on the island Falster, Albuen on the island Lolland, Houstrup Strand north of Hennestrand and Sønderstrand on the Island Rømø.
Below you will find a list beaches in Denmark which is popular among naturists.
1. Amager Strandpark (Amager Beach Park)
This is Copenhagen’s largest and most popular beach. The sand is not your stereotypical fine sand, it is rather coarse, and absolutely beautiful. It looks like tiny crystals and gems up close:The beach can be accessed via the metro by the Øresund station (north), Amager Strand station (middle and my personal favorite), and Femøren (south) stations.
They have separate nudist areas, and platforms and arena-type steps to enjoy the sun for those who would rather not lie on the beach itself.
